I've been to London only but pubs are surely great. I mean I didn't manage to enjoy the community ofc due to my short tourist stay, but I liked the style beer, ale, and cider are always present. And while the choice of food is usually modest - mostly British cuisine dishes like pies - the prices surprised my by their affordability.

I think it's underrated how generally charitable Brits are, and how they're willing to help others only out of a sense of duty. Many countries' cultur3es are far from anything like that.

I'm definitely going to have to say rock music contributions. Such a small island with such a massive influence over rock music is pretty impressive.

They started the industrialisation. They aren't responsible for everything bad (or good) that happened after, but it needed some ingenuity.

If I'm to keep it about the modern UK rather than historical contributions, it seems to be a paradise for miniaturists, modellers and wargamers, I don't think there's another country where manufacturers, shops and shows are this concentrated. Then you have the Bovington Tank Museum, the Royal Armouries in Leeds etc.
