Have you ever been to a Rorate Mass, Bernds?
No, I have never been to mass.
I was sent to a Catholic boarding school as a kid where I stayed from to 7 to 15 so yes, there were plenty of masses. I always loved being in the church back then, all the statues and frescoes of saints and biblical scenes filled me with awe. these days I'm not as religious and I rarely go to church.
I'm a Lutheran, we don't directly have Rorate Mass
>>31074 Why not? I mean, couldn't you also turn off all the lights and only use candles?
>>31075 >couldn't you also turn off all the lights and only use candles? we do that, however it might not be early in the morning
>>31077 Rorate Masses aren't necessarily early in the morning, for example the one I go to today is 17:30.
>>31078 interesting, do you celebrate Feast of Saint Lucy? It's a very important observance here. I think it might be a rare example of a feast day that is more important in Lutheranism than in Roman Catholicism
>>31080 Yeah, there's a Mass for her tomorrow.
>>31083 I'm glad to hear that!
>>31084 Also for Saint Odile (what a beautiful name)
>>31066 I'm protestant.

Yes, there was a time when I wanted to have sex with a woman who studied art history with a focus on church architecture, she took first to a normal, I felt her boobs when everyone started to hug each other during mass, and stared at her ass when were walking up the stairs to the church bell tower. Then she took me to a monastery, there the mass was entirely in Latin. I enjoyed having sex with her very much, I remember coming inside her mouth, on her face, etc.
>>31114 This first mass that I went was ridiculous, it was in a church in a wealthy neighborhood of the city, there were only lonely old women there, everyone was ecstatic that two "younglings" like us were taking part, and I refused these cookies that are the body of christ or whatever. very funny how different this is from a synagogue service.
>>31115 >and I refused these cookies that are the body of christ or whatever. You're not allowed to eat the Holy Body of our Lord anyway, because you're not baptized.
I've been to regular catholic mass and an Russian orthodox Christmas mass that used lights
i was catholic a while but i slowly just stopped going
>>31166 Is it true that you stand in Orthodox service the whole time? >>31167 I find that Holy Mass brings a lot of peace and thus has benefit for the rest of one’s life.
>>31173 I've been to a few different orthodox masses and you stand the whole time. It's important to not lock your knees so your legs get oxygen
