Anime is made for our inner children.

I watched Neon Genesis Evangelion when I was 14 and thought it was amazing. They got the feeling of being 14 pretty much spot on. Then I half watched Death Note until I got bored idk sometime in the second season or something and that's 100% of my anime experience. If I was 14 again then I might like the plots but anyone older than that should be too old for anime.

I watched one about a doctor in Germany or something once I forget its name, I got bored after a few episodes. I'm still open minded enough to try anything that looks interesting but don't have high hopes.

>>30767 I couldn't even finish Lain. What kinds of things are you interested in? Maybe watch something like Jormungand or Samurai Champaloo, there is probably no point recommending anything cute to you. There is a lot of stuff out there you just need to find things that interest you.

>>30781 Oh wait I forgot I also watched Cowboy Bebop. That was decent although borderline excessively cartoonish with the backflips over a hail of bullets in a shootout type stuff. Maybe that's the problem, that there's not enough 'weight' to stuff. If someone gets shot it should be a serious situation. Marvel films for example suffer from the same problem. I'll check those 2 out though and see what they're like.
