I should probably rewatch American Beauty because it felt somehow true about adult life at the time (I was barely adult).
Also, I recently rewatched American Pie with now ex gf and my opinion about who was the biggest winner changed. Previously the MILF fucker, now the one who finds love
I'm not sure if I ever found Fight Club particularly deep, more like rebellious, fun and edgy. I've also read the book and one monolog stuck with me: "We’re the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War’s a spiritual war… our Great Depression is our lives. We’ve all been raised on television to believe that one day we’d all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won’t. And we’re slowly learning that fact. And we’re very, very pissed off."
I like the first part, before "We've all been raised on television", better than the second part. Would be interesting to rewatch the movie.
