The internet made me a lonely man and ruined my life.
If Bernd would have to live in Brazil, Bernd would had already killed himself. Bernd doesn't think the internet does make it any worse.
The internet didn't make you what you are, it just sucked up all your energy from enabling it. If not for it you would've ended up like all the other loners before the internet: in some cult, mental ward, gang, dead from overdose, or written a book on some completely schizo political theory before killing yourself, that would inspire some other loner years later to try to murder some d-list celebrity or politician and most likely fail not making it outside local newspaper.
You made yourself who you are with the help of the environment
>>312 I was too young. I didn't know. The internet is like a lovecraftian god that makes you a recluse schizo in exchange of giving you great knowledge and pleasures.
>>328 Only if you're that passionate and interested in something about it and that's a good thing in a way
>>328 >in exchange of giving you great knowledge and pleasures internet only gives you the illusion of those things, so it's much sadder than that
>>328 > makes you a recluse schizo No it doesn't. That was inside you all along. You were drawn to the internet for that reason, not the other way around. Many normie retards today are just as online as we were and are, and yet they're still normie retards, just saying and doing their imbecilic things online among us. >>335 No, the knowledge is real. Even if facts are hidden among an ocean of trite, idiotic, delusional shit. You can still learn a lot about the world from engaging with the bullshit; as long as you have the intellectual tools to actually be able to learn from it. Like reading the bible, not to convince yourself that the christian god exists, but to understand how fucking irredeemably stupid and dangerous Christians as a group are.
>>333 Knowledge is useless if I don't get some kind of certificate for that in the end. I spent decades reading about the most useless shit and I'll never use any of it. Learning should be social and institutional. It should have an end use before you even start. >>336 No such thing as personality apart from its environmental context. Like the bernd here said: >>312
>>337 Why do you need a certificate? just do stuff and stop overthinking it. There isn't any meaning if you tell yourself there isn't.
>>337 >No such thing as personality apart from its environmental context. Yes, but the internet is not your environment. You're missing the forest for a single tree. >>347 Labels label me not, property.
>>198 Not really. Nobody forced you to be on the internet and waste your time here.
>>356 They swayed me into it. I thought it was the future, but it was just loneliness.
>>357 Everyone was swayed into it, you decided to stay while others decided to just wait for such future to come.

The internet keeps me alive. Its also the only place where I laugh out loud, about jokes 1 of 10 people would get.
>>380 It's like a drug, bernd. It makes you feel good and kills time, but at the cost of making you addicted and recluse.
